Today marks week #3 in our weekly Declutter Challenge. Today, we focus on all those small appliances we either thought we needed, were gifts, or we just don't use anymore. While these appliances may be "small" in comparison to a refrigerator or stove, they still take up valuable real estate in your cabinets, pantry, closet, or where ever you keep these items.
I have 5 items I chose to donate, including a food processor and tater twister. I know the later will find me having some "explaining to do" to my children, but if they want twisted taters, they can go to Arby's. It's much easier and a whole lot less mess!
The key to these declutter with me challenges to is really ask yourself:
1. Do I use this?
2. When was the last time I used this?
3. Do I detest using this? ( i.e. cleaning the tater twister)
4. Can it be a blessing to someone else?
5. Is is broken? (If it is, THROW IT OUT!)
I think that as we go through these challenges, you will find that you have more time and space, because you aren't constantly navigating through "stuff" to find what you need or want.
Until next week, let's make space for the things we love!
Blessings,
Cheri
